The Manchester Township Girls Bowling team is ready to take off!

The team has has grown, with 6 new girls who have never bowled before in training with the 5 experienced bowlers on the team.

Head Coach Vargas said, “As a teacher and coach, I live for the “light bulb moment” This is what I refer to when a student or athlete makes a realization about what i’m trying to teach them that helps them see things differently and apply it to future situations. When I’m working on a skill with a bowler and they are able to produce improved results, there’s confidence that exudes that was never there. They’re able to think ahead on their own how to fix a problem. This independence is what fosters next-level thinking”.

Captain senior Callie Rommel is proud to say that, “We all come together to do something we all enjoy and to do something that makes a difference. The other members of the girls bowling team support each other and support members of other teams we go against. This year’s team started the season with a higher overall series at the end of games than last year, last year we didn’t get to where we are right now until the middle/end of the season.:

Senior Callie Rommel and Junior Mae Koenigsten have been captains for the bowling team for 2 years in a row.

Mr. Bolcato has been volunteering and helping out for the girls bowling. He was the head coach for the boys bowling in 2008.
