The USA Men’s National Soccer Team was back in the World Cup after 8 years and comprised of very young but promising members who have a high level of knowledge for the game and have great teamwork. Here is a recap of the USA Men’s National Soccer Team’s World Cup games.

Game 1: November 21, 2022, USA vs. Wales

USA scored 1 goal and Wales scored 1 goal, and the game ended in a tie. The game was very slow and lots of yellow cards were handed out making players on both sides cautious of being thrown out for a few games. The United States men’s national team began their World Cup appearance with 1-1 draw against Wales in Qatar. “Tim Weah’s first-half goal gave the USMNT an initial lead before england player Gareth Bale converted from the penalty spot late in the game and scored the tying goal,” Kyle Bonn wrote for Fox News.

Game 2: November 25, 2022, USA vs. England

USA vs England was a 0-0 tie and even with USA getting more shots off than England, neither team was able to get a goal after the 90 minutes.

Game 3: November 29, 2022, USA vs. Iran

The USA qualifying game for the next stage in the World Cup was a very close game with “Iran scoring 1 goal in the 38th minute through Pulisic and ultimately won the game to move onto the round of 16” Matias Grez wrote for CNN.

Game 4: December 3, 2022, USA vs. Netherlands

The first round of knockouts, Netherlands was favored to win against USA, 49 percent to 23 percent but USA has always been the underdog type of team and should never be counted out. However, the USA team fell and Netherlands beat them 3-1 and knocked them out of the bracket on the first round. Their loss disappointed fans who have waited 8 years to see them in the World Cup.
