It started with an idea by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. To quote Nick Fury himself, “There was an idea, Stark knows this, called the Avengers Initiative. The idea was to bring together a group of of remarkable people to see if they could become something more. To see if they could work together when we needed them to, to fight the battles that we never could.” It has been over a decade since fans experienced the first Avengers film, Marvel’s The Avengers, released back in 2012. Since then the world, well universe now, has seen the Avengers go through it all; an alien attack on New York, a crazed android trying to rule the world yet failing, a purple alien trying to solve world peace by removing half the population and succeeding. The Avengers had ups and downs but through it all they always assembled for the next fight. Now we know them as “Earth’s Mightiest Heroes”, but it wasn’t always like that. It all started with six of them; Tony Stark/Iron Man (who’s solo movie started the entire MCU), Steve Rogers/Captain America (the official first Avenger), Thor Odinson (is the only Avenger to have four solo films), Bruce Banner/Hulk (is the only original Avenger to have been recast), Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson was the executive producer of her solo film, Black Widow), and Clint Barton/Hawkeye (finally got the spotlight with his own original Disney+ series, Hawkeye). So, it’s finally time to decide who is the BEST Original Avenger??
