Girls Track Running Into the New Season
Sports Preview 2023
April 25, 2023
The girls track team isn’t only running onto new grounds but also gathering new quick runners.
Head Coach Struble, assistant Mr. Salvemini, and Coach Sal have created jump related events including long, high, and triple jump. Another figure with team is Miss Erskine who came all the way from Barnegat to provide her expertise from previous experiences. This is her fourth year coaching the team and they are always thrilled to have her.
Coach Struble mentioned that team building had been a main goal for this upcoming 2023 season, stating, “We are focusing on bullfinch in the areas of confidence, race knowledge and above all support.”
As a coach, sometimes it can be a tough job. Coach Struble had a say on what had motivated her as a coach for Girls Track, “ I would say that my number one and two motivators would be my love for track and field and my knowledge of what this sport does for young females off the track.” She also added, “I know first hand that the valor and perseverance cultivated throughout the season helps mold young athletes into confident successful adults.”
Records can be broken in our school’s triple jump record by one of our current students, Bella Palmiotto.
The Team includes:
Veteran Rachel Oliver and newcomer Madison Cubbinson in the Hurdles
Mikayla Mcsulla in Sprints
Bella Palmiotto in Jumps
Stephanie Ernhardt in Throws
Freshman Vanessa Edwards following close behind our young Veteran Emily Johnson in the mile
