Upcoming November Blood Drive at MTHS

Have you ever wanted to donate blood but never knew how or where? Well now you may be able to become a donor in the comfort of Manchester Township High School.

Thursday, November 16, 2023, Manchester Township High School will be hosting a Red Cross blood drive. Located in the Auditorium, the drive will run from 7:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m.

Qualifying Juniors, Seniors, and staff members (age 17+) have an opportunity to take part in donating blood that will help patients in need.

As a thank-you gift, donors will receive Elf & Red Cross Socks (while supplies last).

Appointments are preferred, but not mandatory. For those interested in donating, an appointment can be made through this link: township

Please see Mrs. Trapp or a member of the Blood Drive Committee for any questions.

Tips to keep in mind when donating include:

  1. Hydrate: Stay extra hydrated the day before and after the donation process
  2. Eat breakfast/ meal before
  3. Be sure to get a good night’s rest before the appointment
  4. Be sure to have a form of ID upon arrival (if forgotten you will still be able to donate however, it makes the overall process fast and easier)
  5. The entire process is estimated to take an hour so it is best to schedule during a class you are willing to miss
  6. Donors will be given snacks afterward
  7. Relax, breathe, and find ways to distract yourself (phone, book, talk to support members of the Blood Drive Committee)
