Jan Tracz (senior) middle blocker broke the boys volleyball record on April 11 when the boys volleyball team battled Donovan Catholic. Tracz ended the season with 145 career blocks and 602 kills. The old record was set by Evan Jones in 2011 with 131 blocks.
Tracz said, “After a great season last year with mainly seniors on the team, I knew I’d have to really step up this year if I wanted the Hawks to win. Breaking the record and achieving 500 kills were only milestones in my volleyball career, especially since the real journey starts when I continue playing the sport at a college level at Ramapo College of New Jersey.”
