The Lady Hawks soccer team is off to an exciting start. Girl’s soccer has had some big exciting wins and have been working hard to achieve way more for the rest of the season.
The Lady hawks are led by head Coach O’Connor, and the two assistant coaches Coach Trapp and Coach Fucci. Key Starters and returners this year are Kylie Miller, Emma Edwards, Riley Hayes, Katie Carney, Kaia Buckley, Nicole Goertz, Madison Cubbison, Alexa Wnek, Madeline Nolan, Carol Wheeler, Mya Giaccone, Jesse Sarana, Gracie Maurer and Makayla Lawson. This team is filled with leaders including this year’s captains being senior Emma Edwards and senior Kylie Miller. This team gets a lot of support and help from their managers, Junior Trent Gallo and Senior Olivia Cugliari.
When asking Coach O’Connor what her goals were for the season she said she hopes to Win B-South, Compete in the state tournament, and win a central Jersey group 2 title.” Coach O’Connor has big goals for these lady hawks and believes in them. Having such big expectations as a coach she is very proud how close the team is which shows through the big win the girls soccer team had against the number 3 team in the shore, Wall Township.
The Girls soccer team has been doing some really great things this season, they had an exciting record breaking player. Senior Goalie Kaia Buckley has broken the record for most saves. O’Connor really believes that the lady hawks this year have a lot of talent and really have a chance to do something special. O’Connor says “Come out and support your Lady Hawks, we are fun to watch.”
