Manchester Hawks Cheer team is off to a great season so far.
Coach Lawson joined the Hawks in 2022 as an assistant coach and as of last year is now head coach alongside two assistant coaches, Coach LouQuasha Lett and Coach Maya Rosario. Senior Helena Sarama described Coach Lawson as always put together, always has a positive outlook, creative, and pushes the team to be their best.
The Hawks Cheer Team went to Pine Forest UCA Camp. The camp gave the team an opportunity to grow their skills, clean up their technique, and to grow the team’s bond. Senior Angelina Santiago was asked about her experience with the camp and what her favorite part of the camp was,
“We grew in skill level, and it definitely will help us for this season. My favorite part about camp was getting closer with the team, and watching how much improvement we made from the first day to the last day.”
Coach Lawson has many goals for this season. According to Lawson, she wants the team to master new skills, grow their confidence, qualify for the national competition, and to do well in it. They have competitions all throughout the year and would love support. The dates are October 12 at Hunterdon Central High School, November 3 at Burlington Regional Middle School, and November 16 at Trenton Cure Arena.
The Hawks Senior Leaders this year are Angelina Santiago, Helena Sarama, Jadyn Wagner, Jaylyn Ruggoff, Kathryn Uberti, Madison Rivas, Mary Elizabeth Grille, and Naomi Daley. Their season highlights are new stunting skills and advancement. Make sure to give the Lady Hawks support at football games and competitions.
