The Washington Commanders met the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday, November 14 on Thursday Night Football and it was a tough matchup for both teams.
The star of the game for Philadelphia certainly was RB Saquon Barkley, who achieved 1,000 yards on the season during the first half.
Washington’s star was TE Zach Ertz, a long-time Eagle, who came alive during the game, with 1 TD, 6 catches, and 47 total yards. Ertz also made a tough play during the late stages of the 4th quarter on a 2-point conversion. Ertz was blocked by Eagles Cornerback Cooper DeJean, and Ertz was able to just barely get possession without going out of bounds.
Saquon Barkley also now leads the NFL in rushing yards, with 1,137 yards so far in the season. The Baltimore Ravens’ RB Derrick Henry follows closely behind Barkley, with 1,120 yards so far.
The Eagles start a 2-game road trip, meeting the Rams in Los Angeles on November 24, and going to Baltimore to battle the Ravens and the aforementioned Derrick Henry, on December 1.
Washington starts a 2-game homestand, welcoming the Dallas Cowboys on November 24, and also the Tennessee Titans on December 1.
The Eagles and Commanders will meet again on December 22, however this time in the home stadium of the Commanders, not in Philadelphia.
