Name: Mrs. Berhalter
Why did you become a teacher: From the time I was a little girl and my “students” were my siblings and my stuffed animals, I knew that I was made to be a teacher. It’s truly the best, most rewarding job there is!
Something about Mrs. Berhalter that would surprise you: I think people would be surprised to know that my dream job (besides teaching!!), is to be a court reporter. When I retire from teaching, that is what I want to do.
Biggest motivation for teaching: My biggest motivation for teaching is seeing my students grow as second language learners.
Favorite traditions/superstitions you have at MTHS: There are so many great traditions here at MTHS, but my absolute favorite is 100 Nights Dinner. I think it’s such a fun way to kick off graduation season
Someone you admire at the Hawks Nest: There are so many people I admire here – we are all dedicated, hardworking individuals who do so much for our students and our community, but I would say the person I admire the most would be Mrs. Ocone. She is an exceptional friend and an even better human being that I am lucky to know and have in my life!
What is your dream Vacation: My dream vacation would be to Spain.
If Mrs. Berhalter had one wish, they’d wish for: I would wish for my girls to grow up to become happy, healthy and successful women and for my husband and I to live a long, happy and healthy life together.
Best MTHS memory: Through my 22 years at MTHS, I have had so many great memories but my best memory would be being chosen to be Teacher of the Year!
Advice for the students: Work hard and take advantage of everything you’re being taught and every opportunity that you’re presented with.
Favorite food: My favorite food is Buffalo Chicken Wings.
Favorite musical artist: Way too many to list!
Favorite sports team: Buffalo Bills
