With graduation one week from today, it is time for us to say farewell to the 2024-2025 school year. As a staff, we would like to take the time to thank our faithful followers for another great year. This year was filled with highs and very low lows and it has taught us more about our own strengths than we could’ve expected. 

We would like to thank Ms. Leonard for stepping in and graciously filling huge shoes for a class that was going through a lot. Even with the tough circumstances surrounding this year, Ms. Leonard has been a bright spot for us, day in and day out, always bringing the much needed positive energy Mrs. Ocone would want in Room #329. We are extremely excited to welcome her back to the Hawks Nest for next school year! 

It is truly a shame Mrs. Ocone can not be here for the culmination of the seniors time in the journalism program and to see the huge strides our underclassmen took this year. However, in a weird way like always, she was the driving force of motivation behind everything we did this year. Seeing her push through her extremely tough times with such courage and pride has been the epitome of a role model for us to look up to. Mrs. Ocone and this classroom has taught us lessons we will carry with us for the rest of our lives. We know Mrs. Ocone will be back and better than ever!

To wrap it up, us editors want to thank you guys from the bottom of our hearts and cannot wait to bring what we have learned into the next chapter. Good luck to all of those who continue in this program and join this program, we hope you enjoy and appreciate it as much as we did!
