Spirit Week Is Coming!

Riley Reardon, Staff Writer

The first Spirit Week for the school year will take place from October 11 through October 14 with the Pep Rally on Friday.

What separates this pep rally from the past is that it officially marks the comeback season for Manchester Township High School’s spirit.

The past few years, virtual pep rallies and masked spirit weeks became reality for students and staff. With social distancing protocols, in-person pep rallies were not possible.

For the Spirit Week, students and staff will be dressing according to the theme set for each day of the week (see below). The Student Government members for each class will be in charge of decorating the bleachers and encouraging the students to participate in the week’s festivities. The class with the most participation will take the lead in the “Battle of The Classes” annual competition.

On Friday, October 14, the anticipation will be at an all time high leading up to the pep rally, the homecoming football game under the lights, and the Disco-themed dance on Saturday night. The Pep rally will include games, relay races, fall-athlete introductions, and Hawk spirit!

Students and advisors hope this rebuild of spirit will spark the next era of pride and community for the Home of the Hawks.
