Mattel released a new generation of its once popular 2010 doll brand, Monster High, in October 2022. Over 750 different dolls were released in the original generation (2010-2018), all ranging in color and style. Monster High was popular for their fashion designs and characterizations of the children of monster legends.

On September 20, 2022, Mattel announced Monster High’s return, starting with 8 core dolls and 2 playsets. The original five ghouls, Draculaura, Clawdeen Wolf, Frankie Stein, Cleo de Nile, and Lagoona Blue, and both playsets, Draculaura Gore-ganizer and The Coffin Bean Cafe, are available at Target, and Walmart, as well as online at Amazon. 

The following three are only available at select places: Deuce Gorgon is an Amazon exclusive, Toralei Stripe is a Walmart exclusive, and Ghoulia Yelps is Target exclusive. 

The dolls retail for $24.99 and the playsets, for $42.99.

Original Monster High dolls from 2010 retailed for approximately $14.99 for slim boxed dolls, $19.99 for standard size boxes, and early three packs were as low as $29.99. 

Along with the new set of dolls, Mattel has collaborated with Nickelodeon to create an original animated series, Monster High (2022). The first season consists of 26 episodes, the first aired October 6, 2022. Nickelodeon has already set the series for a second season.
