Boys Track: Running to Win the Race
December 16, 2022
The Manchester Boys Winter tracksters are ready to run off their season with a great start to their preseason workouts. The boys are excited to start their season this year and hoping for another big win.
Senior Sean Clarke says the most important thing to the season is “Keeping the camaraderie and leadership that we developed from freshman year. The reason why would be because when one of us has a bad race or is feeling down about the upcoming race or workout. We are there as a team when we win big meets. The leadership that we have developed over these years to be there to have the ability to be looked up to for guidance, advice and help. Showing the under class men that hard work pays off. Showing that if you put in hard work you will be rewarded.”
Head Coach Griffith said, “Our team goals for the season are to win championships on the local and state level.”
The team is looking forward to coming together and making changes. They are hoping that they can lower their 4X400 school record and make it to nationals in multiple relays.
