Star wide receiver Tyrone Benjamin was selected to be a part of this year’s All Shore Football Game on July 12 at Holmdel High School. Despite missing 3 games and getting injured early in the first quarter of Manchester’s Homecoming Game, Benjamin managed to rack up 469 receiving yards, 1 rushing touchdown, 5 receiving  touchdowns, 0 fumbles, and averaged a whopping 29.3 yards per catch.

“I’m really excited to play in the All-Shore Game,” Benjamin said. “It is such an honor being selected and I am even more excited to be coached by Coach Farrell and Coach Brown before I go to college. This is a once -in-a-lifetime opportunity I do not want to miss.”

When asking Coach Farrell how he felt about being given the opportunity to coach Benjamin one more time, he stated, “To be able to coach Tyrone one more time is going to be emotional in a good way. He made my first year as a head coach so much easier by his leadership and playmaking abilities. We had so many good memories together and to be able to coach 6 [Benjamins number]  one more time will be a blessing. I’m so proud of Tyrone for the young man he is and there’s definitely going to be a big hug before and after the game.”

Despite being an incredible athlete on the gridiron, Benjamin is committed to run track at Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania.

Hawk fans who would like to see Benjamin in action one last time should head to Holmdel High School on July 12.
