As of the afternoon of Wednesday, September 29th, 2023, Damian Lillard is a Milwaukee Buck. The 33-year-old was traded in a 3-team deal involving the Bucks, the Trailblazers and the Suns. This is significant, as Damian Lillard is a seven time all-star, 2018 all NBA first team member, four time all NBA second team member, two time all NBA third team member, 2013 rookie of the year, 2013 all Rookie first team, 54th best player of all time according to the NBA 75th anniversary list, 2021 teammate of the year, 2023 three point contest champion, 2012 Associated Press third team all American, two time big sky player of the year, 2009 big sky freshman of the year, 3 time all big sky first team, and had his number retired by Weber State University. We could essentially see a Milwaukee superteam as he will be joining Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton and the Lopez Brothers. This trade also sent Deandre Ayton and Jrue Holiday to the Portland Trailblazers, and Jusuf Nurkic to the Phoenix Suns. This adds just another factor to potentially making one of the best seasons in NBA history.
