The Manchester Hawks’ introduced a new club for those who are interested in fashion and the marketing behind it.
Unlike the other clubs the high school offers, the fashion club has three presidents. The hosts being Batool Abdelmalak, Katie Gruppuso, and Breanna Oliva. The three girls have always shown an interest in fashion. They chose Madame Azer, the French teacher, to be the supervisor of the club.
The goal of the club is to introduce the idea of fashion becoming a branch of art in the school, stating, “We would like to create an outlet for students interested in fashion. Through this club, people with similar interests can find ways to connect. We are hoping to help build the confidence and individuality of students through style.”
Another reason why they created the club was to help students who want to major in fashion have a way to connect with their peers with similar interests. They expressed, “We created this club because our school does not offer any fashion-related activities or extracurriculars. This club can serve as a vision or guide for those who are interested in a career related to fashion. It would also just be really fun to be around people who like to express themselves in similar ways!”
They meet once a month and hope to engage in multiple activities ranging from mood boards to fashion shows.
If this club piques your interest, the Google Classroom code to join and all information is located on the Fashion Club board in front of Madame Azer’s classroom, at rm.100.
