Get ready to spike, set and dive your way into this year’s Manchester girls volleyball team. The Lady Hawks have had a challenging start to the season with 2 wins and 6 loses.
The Lady Hawks are led by Coach Eno and assistant coaches Coach Pecora, Coach Schnittman, and Coach Mitchell. This year’s team is filled with returners and key starters including: Kiara Davila, Jordyn Felipe, Abigail Sales, Alexa Vasquez, Isabella Erli, Liza Ramiez, Jazmyn Ridley- Ludena, Gracie Hensley, Joliece Reyes, Briana Leon, Jazmiany Vega, Zuzanna Wrazen, and Annabelle Gray. Everyone on this team is a leader in their own way including this year´s captains being seniors Kiara Davila, Abigail Sales and Jazmyn Ridley- Ludena. Our team managers also play a crucial role on this team, this season’s managers are Junior Casey Laracy and Junior Geice Cassidy.
This season, the Lady Hawks have faced numerous challenges but remain committed and determined to improve. When asked Coach Eno about her goals for this season, she said, “The Hawks are looking to continue to grow and learn in the sport of volleyball. Each year the Hawks are making strides to be a strong competitive force amongst the B-South/ Shore conference. The Hawks are also looking to continue to grow the sport outside of the high school. In one day hoping to gain enough interest to create a middle school program”
It may just be the beginning of the season but the team has had some impeccable highlights. The Lady Hawks volleyball team started off the season with strong wins against evenly matched opponents such as Brick Township. Having such hard opponents at the start of their season, Coach Eno makes sure the team is staying positive. Eno says “when going gets tough, the Hawks lean into each other and hope to overcome the obstacles set forth in front of them.”
The Lady Hawks volleyball team will continue to have some fun games to watch, so come out and support the girls games, before their exciting season ends.
