On Wednesday, February 12, 2025, Manchester Township High School will once again welcome the Red Cross to host a blood drive from 7:30 to 12:30.
The blood drive is an open opportunity to all students, teachers, and staff who are eligible.
Please refer here to ensure eligibility beforehand.
As for signing up, appointments are recommended but not required. The link to schedule an appointment can be found here.
Why is it best to schedule an appointment? With donors coming and going throughout the day, Manchester’s Blood Drive Committee hopes to fit as many donors as possible. With limited tables and workers at a given time, a walk-in donor must fill in the gaps between the scheduled donors. Additionally, when scheduling an appointment, it’s easier to select which class and time will be missed. It might be better to miss gym than AP Biology.
Why should I donate blood? Donating blood does not take long, however, it has a long-lasting impact. Such an act can help the lives of many in need. When donating, rather than thinking about the scary needles and thought of blood, it is helpful to think about where your donation might go and who you might be helping.
Please contact the Manchester Blood Drive committee advisor, Mrs. Trapp, with any questions.
