With a new school year officially underway, time can only tell the triumphs and success that will be brought to the students of Manchester Township High School in the classroom, extracurricular clubs and athletics. We here at the At Cave are so excited to keep bringing you articles on The Talon, and bringing you yet another amazing yearbook.
My name is DJ Staples and I am a senior here at Manchester Township HIgh School. This is my fourth year in the Journalism program and first year as Co-Editor in Chief of The Talon. To say that this responsibility is an honor would be a huge understatement. All that I have to say is if you are interested in exploring careers in communications-whether it be news, sports, activism or otherwise-you should take journalism. If you want an amazing teacher, you should take journalism. Even if you just have an extra spot in your schedule that you simply don’t know what to do with, you should take journalism.
Hello! My name is Bella Martucci and I am a senior here at Manchester Township Highschool. I have been apart of the Manchester Township Journalism program for 3 years and I’m planning on continuing my journey after I graduate. I’m so glad to be the Co-Editor in Chief of The Talon, and I will make sure to keep The Talon as interesting as possible. I am apart of the field hockey team, as well as the Quill and scroll international honors society. Unfortunately, I did not take journalism my freshmen year because I thought it would, “just be writing.” I was totally wrong; it is more than the writing aspect. It is media, photography, communication, graphic design, editing, yearbook, and lots of love. Mrs. Ocone was the biggest influence for me when joining this class. From the field trips, to showing us the aspects of journalism; when people would ask me what I was going to do after high school I never had a response until I met Mrs.Ocone. I will forever be grateful for her and will continue on everything she has taught me in honor of her.
With that being said, lets start off the school year strong! Make sure to install The Talon on your phone (outside of school, of course) to get updates whenever a new article drops! Our goal is to drop a new articles almost every day with different topics. If you know us, let us know what types of articles you would like us to write about so we can keep all of the student’s interests in our writings.
