As another school year rolls around students are excited about the events that give them a break from the stress of their classes and busy schedules. One of the events that showcase that perfectly is the pep rally.
The Pep Rallies take place in fall, winter, and spring. When students cheer for teams, they are not just supporting athletes, they are highlighting their loyalty to the school. This serves as a way to boost the enthusiasm of school spirit among students and staff.
Ms. Amanda Bean, English teacher, says “I would say pep rallies are important for building a community in schools because students come together for a singular, positive goal.”
The gymnasium is filled with upbeat music, collective cheering, and chants which, unknowingly create life-long memories. Pep Rallies are far more than just getting out of class, they are essential to our school pride. Whether you are a cheerleader, football player, or supportive friend in the crowd, your presence is a pertinent part of the spirit that runs through our school.
