Meet Madison Cubbison, a talented, young player on the Manchester Girls Soccer Team. With her exceptional skills and speed, Cubbison has become a key player on the team, making significant contributions on and off the field.
Last Years Triumphs:
Cubbison ended the season with 7 goals and 2 assists. When playing Barnegat, she scored 1 goal in the first half and had 1 assist in the second half putting Manchester ahead 2-1. When Manchester played Ranney, Cubbison scored 1 goal in the second half tying the game at 1-1 and sending it into overtime, then scoring the game winning goal in the double-overtime. Lastly, Cubbison scored the Golden goal in the first half of overtime versus St. Rose. At the end of the year, Madison was named to the 2nd Team B-South, 3rd Team All Ocean County, Asbury Park Press Offensive player of the year and Asbury Park Press Freshman player of the year.
Madison is off to a great start so far this season as well. She started off the season scoring 4 goals in the first 3 games and had an impressive goal against Barnegat putting Manchester at 1 and Barnegat at a whopping 0. Cubbison is not only a standout player, but an outstanding teammate. Her dedication and positive attitude never fails to pick the team up. Coach Casey O’Connor says, “Maddy has contagious energy on and off the field that players and students feed off of. She is an important member of the team and has tremendous school pride that will help build school culture.” Manchester is excited to see what Madison will do with the rest of the season.
