NFL Divisional Playoff Predictions

This weekend is the divisional round of the NFL playoffs and four games will be played to determine who moves on to the championship round and ultimately vie for Super Bowl LVIII.

The first game on Saturday is the number 1 seeded Baltimore Ravens against the number 4 Houston Texans at Baltimore. In this game, I think Lamar Jackson and the Ravens defense will lead them to a win over the young Houston Texans. Lamar Jackson is the MVP favorite and I think he will show that in this week’s game. On the other side, CJ Stroud just had one of the best rookie playoff performances ever, but I think the Ravens defense is too much for him.

For the Saturday night game, the heavy underdog Green Bay Packers face off against the powerhouse San Francisco 49ers in San Francisco. In this game, I think the Niners will show why they are the one seed and beat the Packers being led by their great offense. The Packers just upset the Cowboys last week in Dallas, but I think the 49ers are a much better team and will handle business Saturday night.

The first game on Sunday is the Detroit Lions vs. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Detroit where I think the Lions will come out with the victory. They are just coming off of a close win against the Rams where they faced their old franchise QB in Matt Stafford, and I think they will keep that momentum and beat the Buccaneers despite Baker Mayfield’s great performance last week.

The last game this weekend is the Buffalo Bills against the Kansas City Chiefs in Buffalo in a playoff rematch between them for the third year in a row. In the past two matchups, Mahomes got the better of Josh Allen and the Bills, but I think that the Bills will step up this year and give Mahomes his first divisional round loss of his career. The Chiefs haven’t been as successful this year compared to previous years, and I think the Bills can take advantage of this trend and beat them to win.
