The Communications and Journalism Program welcomed 14 new members to the MTHS chapter of the Quill and Scroll International Honor Society for High School Journalists on Tuesday, November 29. 

Quill and Scroll honors students in recognition of high school journalistic achievement.

To become a member of the Society, a student must meet five qualifications: He or she must be of junior or senior classification; he or she must be scholastically in the upper third of his or her high school class and/or he or she must have done superior work in some phase of high school journalism; he or she must be recommended by the adviser of journalistic work in his or her high school or by the committee governing publications and he or she must be approved as being worthy of membership by the Society’s executive director.

Manchester Township High School welcomed the following 14 candidates into membership in the Society, Sianna Blackwell (12), Yasmin Colon (12), Isabella Condello (11), Grace Costello (11), Ashley DiGirolamo (11), Audrey Franolich (11), Joseph Horowitz (11), Brianna Merz (12), Joseph Migliaccio (11), Andrew Perez (12), Kim Perrone (12), Madison Proveaux (12), Anthony Sievers (12), and Isabella Zaragoza (12). The new inductees were joined by current members of Quill and Scroll, Alexis Cervenak, Valerie Kohan, Abigail Peluso, and Samantha Verdi, who are all a part of the Class of 2023.
