Starting of the new year this January, entertainment is coming out from romantic films to highly anticipated movies. Many of which you may recognize from the increasing attention on social media. Run Away (Series/January 1)- Twisting and turning adaptation of Harlan Coben’s bestseller about a father’s search for his runaway daughter.
Time Flies (Series/January 1)- Right out of prison and low on options, two women run a fumigation business- until a shady client pulls them back into the life they fought to escape.
His & Hers (Series/January 8)- Two spouses, one a cop, the other a news reporter , compete to solve a murder case in which each believes the other is a prime suspect.
People We Meet on Vacation (Film/January 9)- After years of summer vacations, Alex who loves a plan and Poppy who’s a free spirit, wonder if they could be a perfect romantic match.
Free Bert (Series/January 22)- A messy dad and his equally unfiltered family cause chaos when they try to fit in with the snobby families at their new school.
Bridgerton Season 4 (Series/January 29)- The 4th season of Bridgerton turns its `focus to the second son Benedict. Besides his older and younger brothers being married, Benedict loathes the fact of settling down. That is until he meets a captivating Lady in Silver at his mother’s masquerade ball.

Mercy (January 23)- Set in the future when capital crime has increased, Mercy follows a detective who is accused of a violent crime and is forced to prove his innocence.
Send Help (January 30)- Two colleagues become stranded on a deserted island. The only survivors of a plane crash. They must overcome past grievances and work together to survive, but it becomes an unsettling battle of wills and wits.
Shelter (January 30)- On a remote island, a man living on his own rescues a young girl from a deadly storm. This forces him out of seclusion and both into harm’s way. He must navigate protecting the orphaned girl while battling enemies from his past.
Greenland 2: Migration (January 9)- In the aftermath of a comet strike that decimated most of the earth, this movie follows the Garrity family as they’re forced to leave the safety of their bunker in Greenland to traverse a shattered world in search of a new home.
Both Netflix and movie theatres offer ways that are fun to watch upcoming films. Netflix allows viewers to be at the comfort of their own home relaxing on the couch with a cozy drink in hand. While, the theatres give that nostalgic feeling of seeing a film on the big screen with delicious snacks like popcorn and candy. Netflix tends to be more convenient and affordable for everyone with a subscription. With other benefits like being able to pause and watch at any time. However, movie theatres will always have their own unique experience that makes any movie feel more immersive.
