It’s been about a year and a half since I visited Burger 25 after my heartbreaking experience. I kept telling myself I would go back and everybody wanted me to give it a second try. Through craving their originality I enjoyed years ago, it was about time to return once and for all.

Every month, Burger 25 features their Burger and Super Milkshakes of the Month based on the time of year. For the month of October, the theme was Halloween and I had it in my mind that I would be enjoying a shake later. As for the burger, I was not sure if I would like it from reading the menu description. I had to settle the disappointment of the BBQ Bacon Burger, I was most definitely not getting that thing again. With extreme thought and consideration, I decided to get the #10, French Onion Soup Burger.

The French Onion Soup Burger is an Angus Burger topped with Sauteed French Onions, House-Made Croutons, Sizzling Swiss and Provolone Cheese, Garlic Onion Aioli Spread, on a Fresh Baked Onion Bun. As a certified french onion soup lover, when I read this description my mouth began to water. I knew there was no way this crazy creation was going to disappoint.

Everything at Burger 25 was looking pretty good so far. They brought out my dad’s milkshake about 5 minutes after we ordered and the food came soon to follow. We were excited to see that everything was on time which was very impressive!

Along with the burger we ordered their Boardwalk Fries, Seasoned and served with House-Made Garlic Ranch. I never remembered this failing me as a side. The fries were nice and crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. The fries stand as a solid 9/10, but that amazingly satisfying garlic ranch turns it up a notch. It is so tasty and is unlike any other. I always feel the need to have ketchup with my fries, but with this sauce, I didn’t even touch the ketchup bottle. These make the fries a 9.3 out of 10, a side serving as one of a kind.

And now for the main event, the unique and beautiful burger. This thing was huge! The bun was very big with two of their gigantic House-Made Croutons on top of the patty and you can see the cheeses and garlic onion aioli spread melted and dripping down on the burger. It smelled extraordinary, all I had to do now was dig in.

I took a massive bite and the patty slid out from the back! It didn’t completely fall out thank goodness, I was able to make a quick recovery and form the patty back into its place, holding the burger together afterwards. Fortunately, I got everything in one bite and my oh my, it blew me away! Astonishingly cheesy with that distinct flavor, the croutons were crunchy and soaked from the garlic onion aioli spread which was so significant to the burger and that bread was great. Soft and it tasted like onion! The whole burger tasted like french onion soup, highlighting the onions which were an outstanding complement! A double thumbs up for me! As for the burger itself, it was greasy but not too much, salted and tasted very well. This burger lived up to its name and it’s hype so I am giving it a 9.2/10. Burger 25, you have my respect!

This burger was delicious but my visit was not over, I was not leaving out one of their featured super milkshakes. Recommended by Anthony Sievers, the Graveyard Milkshake was the way to go.

The Graveyard Milkshake is dirt pudding super shake style with vanilla ice cream, topped with Oreo dirt and gummy worms. Before I even get to the taste, I have to state that Burger 25’s milkshakes are the best in the game. They are so smooth with a thick straw, big enough to enjoy that unmatched creamy smooth texture. The Graveyard Milkshake was incredible! The Oreo pieces were crunchy and every now and then I’d be blessed by a big chunk of Oreo soaked in the shake! The dirt pudding was blended in very well and it hit my taste buds in every single sip. Thank you for your recommendation Anthony, this milkshake was a 10/10 to wrap up The Epic Comeback of Burger 25!!!
