With the NFL season coming to an end with an oddly lop-sided championship game, with the so called underdogs winning. There’s been quite a few changes going on in the NFL as of March 10th, especially if you haven’t checked in frequently. With daily league-wide news breaking, come read my article to catch up on what you missed since you were gone.
Let’s talk about all the trades that have happened so far over the off-season. First, WR Devante Adams was dropped by the New York Jets. Following after, his close friend and former teammate Aaron Rodgers was told that the Jets will be moving on from him for reasons such as lack of production, and how injury prone he is. Some fans say that Rodgers has become a liability for the team, more than a help for the team out of East Rutherford. It is a real shame because of how much talent he’s proven he really has over his 20-year career. However, there is no news on what Aaron Rodgers will be doing moving forward from this, but we do know what Davante Adams has in store, Devante will be welcomed by the Los Angeles Rams as their new star wide receiver. Adams signed a 2-year deal for $46 Million.
The NFL’s newest member of the 2,000 rushing yards club will be the highest paid running back ever. After receiving a 2 year extension for $41.2 Million, Saquon Barkley of the Super Bowl LIX winning Philadelphia Eagles now holds yet another record, being the highest-paid RB in the over 100 year history of the NFL.
The 49ers fan-favorite Deebo Samuel was traded to the Washington commanders. With his skill and a new system, and insanely skilled young QB Jayden Daniels, I have no problem thinking that there will be damage made by this Washington team in the upcoming season.
A lifelong Seattle Seahawk, WR D.K. Metcalf was just traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers signed him to a 5 year, $150 Million contract. If you watched Metcalf, or even took a peek at his stats, you would know he deserves every dollar coming his way.
Well that is it for NFL news as of now. Don’t forget we have six months to go till the NFL season kicks off so there will be more breaking news as time goes on so stay tuned. ESPN’s Adam Schefter will surely keep the entire fanbase of the NFL updated, check out his latest news!
