With exam season right around the corner, it is crucial to learn all of the study hacks for success. Exam stress is completely normal during this time of the year and can be managed in a variety of ways. This period of time is always stressful because it’s the accumulation of hard work over the past few months. As a result, the stakes are often high.
Too much stress and anxiety can harm testing performances. These factors can negatively interfere with focusing and memorization which can impact test scores, according to the Still Collective. This leads to missed details and poor decision making, while testing.
In order to study in the most efficient way, there are many steps that can be taken. One step is time management: Study for 25 minutes at a time and take small breaks in between. This keeps the brain fresh and avoids exhaustion. It is also important to study a week prior to the exam day
“When studying I mostly use flashcards and I try my best to manage my time wisely,” one Manchester Township High School (MTHS) Junior said. Flashcards can be extremely helpful by strengthening memory mostly for definitions and facts stated by the University of Southern Maine.
