Why did you become a Teacher/Administrator/Counselor?
I had good teachers who made me love history and I like working with young people.
Something about you that would surprise students?
I am pretty introverted. I use up all of my social energy in the classroom – after that, I just like to enjoy quiet time at home.
Biggest Motivation for becoming your current position at MTHS?
Again, it was teachers I had in the past that made me love history.
Favorite Traditions/Superstitions you have at MTHS?
This isn’t exactly a tradition, but one of the best things about MTHS is that whenever someone from the school or the community is facing a serious real-life problem, the staff here always comes through for them. We take care of our own.
Someone you admire the Hawks Nest?
She retired last year, but I admire Mrs. Carfagno (Dileo). She taught with passion for her entire career and genuinely cared about every one of her students, while also overcoming numerous obstacles in her life.
Dream Vacation?
Somewhere quiet in the mountains
If you had one wish, they’d wish for:
I could use a new pair of school shoes. My wife says mine are looking a little worn out.
Best MTHS Memory?
Too many funny moments in the classroom to pick one.
Advice for students?
Live with a purpose that is bigger than just pleasing yourself. Everyone can have a real purpose. If you don’t have one, start looking for one.
