Spider-Man is one of the most popular comic book characters of all time. Even though Spider-Man can spin a web in the comics, the amaze of the character grew from the live-action portrayal of the web head. Let’s have a quick throwback to previous Spider-Man films such as the movie trilogy that started the web-slinging craze, Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man (2002), Spider-Man 2 (2004), and Spider-Man 3 (2007). Sony later rebooted Spider-Man after the success with Tobey Maguire, with Andrew Garfield’s Amazing Spider-Man which fell short with critics, only releasing The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) ending with a cliffhanger to tie into the third movie that was never made (Sony planned it as a trilogy but only the two were released). Once Marvel finally got partial rights back to their best-selling comic character, adding his character and storyline into the MCU was no problem, but getting the right actor was a different story. By having the most known superhero on the film screen played by multiple actors in the past decade and a half, Marvel had their work cut out for them. Marvel cast Tom Holland as the next Peter Parker and Marvel Cinematic Universe’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man back in 2015. He officially made his debut in Captain America: Civil War the following year with one of the best introductions, flipping in just to steal Cap’s shield. And the rest is history. Fans have been debating who the best Spider-Man is for years… But Spider-Man: No Way Home had every wanted/asked for and more, with familiar faces in the return of some villainous stars introducing the sinister six… Every character in No Way Home gets a second chance and redeems themselves, not just the three Spider-Men but the villains as well. How Marvel will ever be able to top this is questionable, but knowing them they always have a few tricks up their sleeve (in which they pulled out the big guns for No Way Home) for the next trilogy. Getting to see the three Spider-Men together was monumental but it’s finally time to decide who IS Spider-Man, Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, or Tom Holland??
