The Boy’s Manchester Wrestling Hawks are back and better than ever this 2022-23 season!! With Coach Vinciguerra stepping up to the plate as head coach and brand new Assistant Coach Stratton coming into play, the team has two knowledgeable and experienced coaches who teach and install hard work, technique, and dedication. Assistant Coach Holzer speaks very highly for what is to be expected of the team this year. 

“Our main goal is to continue to build our program and increase the number of Hawk Athletes who are wrestling,” states Coach Holzer. “With that we have goals of having both boys and girls compete in Districts, Regions, and States this year.” Coach Holzer’s main goal has been increasing the number of guys in the room who show up everyday ready to chase their goals. Holzer comments, “Since we have just gotten the season underway we are very happy with the amount of excitement and enthusiasm shown by our wrestlers. They are willing to learn and put in hard work on a daily basis!” He continued to say, “My motivation is based on trying to instill the following in our athletes, ‘Hard work = success’”. The energy in the atmosphere has the team coming together as a family and having fun while being focused at the same time. 

The Hawks open up with their first dual meet of the season on Friday, December 16, against Donovan Catholic here at the Hawk’s Nest (Manchester Township High School). They keep it rolling as they head to the Boys Garden State Classic at Barnegat on Saturday, December 17. Their Senior Night will take place on Wednesday, December 21 on their home dual meet against Lakewood.

Senior Andrew Perez returns as Solo Team Captain, with Seniors Michael Justo-Bautista and Calvin Spicer returning for their final seasons. Juniors, Max Anderson, Alex Faccone, Jaden Figueroa, Austin Mitrosky are back on the mat along with Sophomores Nick Hubiak, Dom Minneci, and Dante Mortellite.
