For 13 years, Mr. Robert Dennis Adams has flown the hawks’ nest as principal to bring Manchester Township Highschool (MTHS) to the best of its potential. On 30 January 2026, Mr. Adams had his last day in the position as principal.
In a final letter Mr. Adams sent to his staff he expresses, “As I approach the end of my tenure as principal of MTHS, I find myself filled with mixed emotions as I try to find the right words to say.”

One thing about Mr. Adams is even though he had a strict job to do, he was always smiling and trying to connect with students and staff. Mr. Adams started many traditions that were carried out throughout the years.
MTHS teacher Mrs. Wolfman says that Mr. Adams “has started traditions at the Hawks Nest that, as a teacher here for 24 years, I really appreciate.”
A tradition that Mrs. Wolfman emphasizes on is the “Pass The Torch” tradition.
“Although carried out by Jamie Popek last year and Marisyia Goins this year, PASS THE TORCH was an idea Mr. Adams had where the seniors give a graduation tee shirt to the kindergarten class with a ceremony on the football field in June.”
Mrs. Wolfman jokes and adds “Also in June, senior week is another one of the traditions Mr. Adams worked hard to make happen. When I say he worked hard, I mean he told his secretary and myself what he wanted and we made it happen.”
Mr. Adams had a big impact on MTHS and everyone is so thankful for everything he has done for this school. In tribute to Mr. Adams 13 years of hard work, his traditions and positive energy will live on in the halls of MTHS.
“I hope every senior that passes through these halls realizes the man behind them was Mr. Adams,” says Mrs. Wolfman.
Thank you, Mr. Adams for all you have done during your time as principal here. You are appreciated!
