On April 23rd, Manchester Township High School (MTHS) is hosting Bring Your Child to Work Day. This is a special opportunity for our teachers, counselors, and staff members to share their work with their children.
For most of our staff, this day is about showing their kids the meaningful impact teachers have on students.
History teacher, Mrs. Ferrone says: “I want my son to see the value in the profession.” Aside from the career, it’s also a chance to share a family experience and create memories together.
Guidance counselor, Mrs. Kelly says: “Getting to spend the day with my son is what excites me most.”
With 83% of staff participating, we have children ranging from Pre-K to college age. They’ll visit science labs, art classes, the gym, and the guidance office. Most teachers are planning to give their kids the full tour!
Teachers also want their kids to understand that education is both challenging and rewarding.
Psychology teacher, Mrs. Paturzo puts it perfectly: “Education can be challenging, but light hearted and fun at the same time.” A reminder that learning doesn’t have to be intimidating, and that asking for help is always okay
So on April 23rd, MTHS will be full of excitement as our staff’s children discover where their parents spend their days and the impact they make every single day.
