Minecraft has announced that in the new 1.20 update, on top of adding in a new mob, the Sniffer, there will be an entire new biome added to Minecraft! This biome is the Cherry Blossom Biome.

The Sniffer is the mob that won the 2022 Minecraft Live Mob Vote. In this mob, you can sniff out seeds that players can dig up and use. For more information on the sniffer, read this article put out by official Minecraft. 

The Cherry Blossom Biome will bring a new type of tree, (the cherry blossom tree), a new wood set, sapling, and will have unique flowers which decorate the biome floor (as shown in the teaser images on Minecrafts website and Instagram). 

This update should be coming out soon to java snapshots and bedrock betas/previews.
